Am 23.5. hat ResearchGATE seine Pforten geöffnet.

ResearchGATE is a new free of charge web 2.0 platform designed for the need of researchers. Echt interessant. Vor gar nicht so langer Zeit haben wir in einem Workshop besprochen, dass man einen Social Networking Service für Forscher / die Wissenschaft bräuchte – und jetzt entsteht einer nach dem anderen. Neben ResearchGATE sind da noch

Science 2.0 scheint momentan gerade “abzuheben” – siehe dazu auch meinen Bericht von der Keynote auf der COOP2008 sowie dem Workshop Academia 2.0

Was mir bei ResearchGATE ein bisschen fehlt ist die Integration – Ich will ja nicht wirklich alle meine Veröffentlichungen, Projekte etc neu eintragen. Hier braucht man eine Integration mit bibsonomy oder ähnlichen Diensten – und eine Integration der Daten in verschiedene Portale (damit ich die Daten auf meinen Web-Seiten an der Uni einblenden kann). Naja, ich will nicht ungerecht sein – bei den Publikationen findet sich immerhin schon eine Integration mit der PubMed-Datenbank.

Ich bin gespannt, wie es mit ResearchGATE weiter geht.
